Moore County NC Fox Hunting

This is a colorful tradition in Moore County, North Carolina that you might want to check out. No foxes are killed, I assure you. But what you do get is great pageantry — beautiful horses, hounds and riders doing their upscale thing across the bucolic Moore County countryside. It’s going to be held this year on Thursday, November 27.  Yes, Thanksgiving Day. Why not something different before you dive into that turkey dinner? The Moore County Hounds will start aapproximately 9:30 a.m. Understandably, hunting with the pack is by invitation only. However, as spectators you and I may watch on opening day. The event will be held at Hobby Field off Youngs Road in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
